THANKFUL...

1. For my wonderful family. We can always make each other laugh and can cook up some delicious-ness in the kitchen.
2. Thankful that it took 18 months for Junie to get her first stomach bug... It was a beast! So very excited that it seemed to really only last the 12-18 hours that our nurse described. I know it won't be our last stomach bug, and now I know we can snuggle through it.
3. Three weeks and two days until Christmas vacation! So much excitement for students, and so many of my favorite activities to squeeze into this time!

THREE FOR THE WEEKEND...

1. Friday was the first snow of the winter... EEK! I am not ready for this. Wasn't it just summer? But, it does mean Christmas is almost here... So, I'll take it.
2. I baked this super yummy Pumpkin Chocolate Swirl bread, from my all-time favorite blog, A Beautiful Mess.
3. We've got lots of fun Thanksgiving activities planned for our two days of school this week. We can do it.

A NEW DAY...

I came in expecting another wild, busy day today. Instead, my students worked together, supported their peers, jumped into math explorations, sat at the edge of their seats for a new read aloud novel, and packed up for a smooth dismissal. I love when things click and kiddos rise to the occasion! Happy Hump Day!
